President
--Mr. Jia Shusen, the president of the Ba Gua Zhang Research Institute (2004- )
Mr. Jia Shusen, 7th Dan in Chinese Wushu, fifth generation of Ba Gua Zhang (a traditional Chinese Martial Arts also known as the Eight Trigram Palm), is the director of the Beijing Wushu Association as well as the president of the Ba Gua Zhang Research Institute of the Beijing Wushu Association. Mr. Jia Shusen is also an inner circle disciple of Professor He Puren, a well-known acupuncture master.

Mr. Jia Shusen began practicing long fist and Shaolin at a very young age. In 1979, Jia Shusen was accepted as the disciple of Li Wenzhang, studied Yin and Cheng Style Ba Gua Zhang and their weapons. During this period, Jia Shusen learned Wu Style Taiji and Xing Yi under the instructions of Wang Rongtang. From the 1980’s to the early 1990’s, Mr. Jia Shusen studied Sanda and applications of Chinese Martial Arts with Coach Mei Huizhi. Mr. Jia Shusen used to be the vice secretary-general of the Chinese Martial Arts Applications Research Institute and engaged in coaching and organizing Sanda competitions. In 2007, Mr. Jia Shusen was rewarded as “Hundred Outstanding Person in the field of Chinese Martial Arts Applications” by this same institute for the contribution he did and is still doing for the Chinese Martial Arts Applications.

Since 1991, Mr. Jia Shusen has been studying the Traditional Chinese Martial Arts for many years. In 1993, Mr. Li Wenzhang recommended Jia Shusen to Mr. Sun Zhijun, a famous Chinese Martial Artist of the Cheng Style Ba Gua Zhang, Thus, he became the inner circle disciple of Mr. Sun and studied hard Cheng Style Ba Gua Zhang and its weapons.

In 2004, Mr. Jia Shusen was elected as the president of the Ba Gua Zhang Research Institute.

- Since 1983, Mr. Jia Shusen has been studying acupuncture and moxibustion with Professor He Puren. Once Mr. Jia Shusen was received as the inner circle disciple of Professor He on November 26th, 2000, he not only inherited all the knowledge and techniques of Professor He but also summarized by himself a more scientific method of exercising, combining both Chinese Martial Arts and TCM theory, not only for competitions but also for health care.
Other Achievements of Mr. Jia Shusen:
- In December 1997, Mr Jia Shusen was selected by the “Album of Traditional Chinese Martial Artists in Modern History in Capital Beijing”
- In 2006, Mr Jia Shusen was selected by the “Album of Traditional Chinese Martial Artists in Modern History”
- Built his own page in the “Archives of the Beijing Wushu Association” in 2007.
For the past 20 years, Mr. Jia Shusen has been training a great number of Wushu talents and champions. Some of his disciples won championships in national and international Traditional Chinese Martial Arts Competitions. Some of them became coaches who own clubs or organizations in Shan Dong, He Nan and Zhe Jiang provinces.
